Dr. Thomas Dunderdale

Tom was born and raised in the small outport community of Burin, Newfoundland and Labrador. Growing up, he was highly involved in his many interests from acting and the outdoors to his biggest passion, athletics! The Burin Peninsula was (and still is) known as a provincial hotbed for soccer, and Tom was swept up in the action early. Enjoying success with many teams at the regional and provincial levels, he eventually made it to the provincial Men's  Premier Challenge Cup division where he played for ten years before relocating to Ontario in 2004.

When Tom graduated high school, he attended Memorial University of Newfoundland (MUN) where he obtained his Bachelor of Science in Biology. During his time at MUN, Tom was also a member of the varsity Seahawks soccer team, captaining the squad in his last two years and being named an "Academic All-Canadian" by the CIAU.

In the fall of 2000, Tom entered his first year at the Candian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC). Over the next four years, he completed an intense program of studies to become a Doctor of Chiropractic. During the program's clinical fourth year, Dr. Dunderdale was very fortunate to spend his rotations with two very good mentors in Dr. Robert Gringmuth at the H.K. Lee Walk-in Clinic, and Dr. Glenn Engel at the St. John's Rehabilitation Hospital. He was also fortunate to work with Dr. Gringmuth in providing medical coverage to the National Training Centre - Ontario (NTCO) and OSA Regional programs, a relationship which has led to his recent partnership with Dr. Gringmuth to be the official healthcare provider for Sports Centres Inc. in the Ottawa region.

In 2004, Tom moved to Ottawa where he set up the Nepean Chiropractic Health Clinic . He now resides with his beautiful wife Jillian in Ottawa's west end. Although he wishes he could be closer to his parents Peter and Kathy in Newfoundland, he enjoys living very close to his wonderful sister Sara, brother-in-law Matthew, and nephew Jack who also live in Ottawa. Tom continues practicing his love for athletics, playing soccer and basketball every week.
